1971 group 44 Jaguar v-12,
cobra, corvette
killer, race car; a faithful recreation of Bob Tullius, famous and
winningest series III race legend. Formally a coupe, that has received
a fantastic, expensive and faithful recreation; receiving the same
modifications, changes, upgrades and improvements as the original,
which is now in the jaguar heritage museum in Coventry, England. The
original won the SCCA annual championship Nov. 2nd 1975 over a field
of 14 corvettes and one Porsche Carrera, holding the lap record at
over 98mph.(b production class racing) and top speed on the straightaway
of over 178+ mph.
In the mid 1970s, the jaguar factory supported
two v-12 teams in the USA, Tullius in the east coast and
Joe Huffaker on the west coast. This
race car has the actual Huffaker, (captain of the west coast jaguar
race team, from San Rafael ) factory built race engine, that
won so many championships for Joe Huffaker. #12 series III race car. Joe
Huffaker was considered an engine building genius by all who knew him.
The car is therefore unrepeatable.It
is also well documented that the Huffaker engine had more power than
the Tullius car, though the Tullius jag had better handling and braking
characteristics.This
car is therefore believed better than either of the original two cars.

1953 C-TYPE PARTIAL ALUMINUM RECREATION:
Sir William Lyons' quest for a Le Mans race winner began in 1950 when
a trio of XK 120 production cars competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans,
surprising everyone with their competitiveness. Two of the three
finished the race, while the third one actually held a second place
late in the contest before a clutch gave way.
The success and press generated by these three cars inspired Williams
Lyons to build a car that could not only compete, but also win the prestigious
24 hour Le Mans race. The result was the XKC 120 , or "C" type.
This new purpose built racecar won leMans the first time out of the gate
in 1951 and again in 1953 using aircraft-type disc brakes,- an automotive
first in road racing, and Webber side draft carburators..
This "C" type recreation, benefits from the entire Jaguar heritage,
without the cost of the genuine article, (currently between $1- 2,000,000 million,
depending on history) with the added benefit of LEFT HAND DRIVE. This Jaguar
is very presentable in its overall condition. She shows some of the expected
signs of use adding lovely patina to its already reliable mechanics. .
The car was originally titled in 1953, and presently retains a 1953, clear, Florida
State title.
Finished in the classic and correct British Racing Green, powered by a 4.2L Jaguar
, DOHC inline six-cylinder engine with triple Weber carburetors, four speed FULL
SYCROMESH manual transmission, coil spring front suspension, INDEPENDENT rear
suspension ,FOUR- WHEEL DISC BRAKES, knock off 15" wheels with Dunlop tires.
The body is made out of aluminum with some glass combination... ( external bonnet
made out of fiberglass) both inside front fenders are covered in aluminum. The
cockpit in it's entirety is made of aluminum including doors, firewall, floors,
the rear section of the vehicle is made of glass and aluminum. Gas tank , spare
wheel compartment and both inside rear fenders are aluminum or covered in aluminum
as well.
The engine compartment was dressed up just enough. Many holding brackets like
the alternator, carburetors air cover, alternator fan and the entire front end
suspension has been detailed.
Gauges are Smith (MPH speedometer),Tach, oil press, water Temp, volt, fuel; they
all work; all components of this lovely JAG "C" type Replica are original
Jaguar parts that were either new or donated .
As printed recently, in several Sports-Car publications, the C-TYPE IS STILL
SIR Stirling Moss's FAVORITE sports car.
THANK YOU SOLD 10 7 07….
CONGRATULATIONS AND GOING TO NEW YORK CITY
