1971 Etype Roadster 5.3 liter V-12, Date of Manufacture; July 16, 1971, Vin # 1 S 20042BW, Engine no. 7S 3334 SA, Body no. 10135, black hood (top), current mileage 61,250, Period radio, all books and records as well as tools." We are delighted, to once again be able to offer one of the most rare and remarkable Jaguars ever built. This 1971 (not a misprint) V-12 Roadster, one of only 86 left drive, 317 FACTORY HORSEPOWER roadsters ever built. This is the 42nd one produced in that year. Jaguar was concentrating on their newly introduced 2+2 coupes, making less than 90 of the roadsters that first year of the V12. Obviously equipped with the small good-looking bumpers, the true significance is that it was only in 1971 that the V12 power-plant was producing 317 amazing horse power.

THANK YOU SOLD 10/05
1972 V12 XKE with four speed, Wire wheels and Air-conditioning in Silver (original color) with red hides. Note the year of this rare E-type since it is the only year that the roadster came with the small Euro bumpers (pre impact laws) and the 300 HP engine (pre smog controls). Car has been professionally repainted in its original and most desirable color, Silver. We have only seen about a dozen 1972s in this color with manual transmission in the 21 years of our selling and servicing these wonderful 'dream" cars. This Jaguar has already received a correct leather steering wheel and a proper shifter knob. Price includes the famous Doc's Jags engine and suspension detail; made up of powder coating and all sorts of their experienced ways to make a V12 engine and suspension look better than new. Also if wanted we will include the removal of the luggage rack and repaint the deck lid.
This car has only 43,000 miles showing and believed to be original. (Our written opinion will be given upon request) Price will also include the instalation of a new black on black cloth hood (top) of the highest quality canvas. (Current one has shrunk ). We recommend that black wall tires would also be a fine finishing touch for this spectacular V12 E-type. If you've been watching and waiting for the "right " V12, your prayers have just been answered. Won't last at the quoted price, that's for sure |

1973 XKE V12 (OTS) Open two seater Roadster; An American service man purchased the car in Europe new, which accounts for the small Euro bumpers, then brought her back to California, where its been ever since; Former owner moved to Arizona four years ago bringing the car with him but not registering the car; She hasn't been on the open road in five years, However, Doc's Jags has this V12, signal red roadster, running, driving, and stopping very well. Some cosmetics may still be wanting to make her your "dream-boat" come true at a price you all thought impossible to achieve in this day and age anymore ... $26,500 very firm AND NOT A MISPRINT ..........
