#140-1002

1956 XK 140 MC ROADSTER in Imperial Maroon; _0_ MILES on a JUST COMPLETED by one of the countries best known 140 restorers. All he ever restored over the past 25 years has been 140’s.

We at Doc’s Jags have had a number of his great JAGUAR XK 140 “works of art” over the past 20 years, and it seems his work just keeps getting better. This Jaguar was his personal car and last restoration. He sold this personal car to us due to the need for an immediate, very expensive and delicate eye operation; Original and completely rebuilt factory MC (“C” high-lift Cams) engine to factory specifications with exception that it was bored 20 thousands over; Unusually for an XK, this car will lay or peel rubber for 25 feet when trounced upon. Every nut and bolt on this rotisserie, frame off restoration, was meticulously undertaken over a four year completion period and just completed; new everything including the correctly painted, original and rebuilt shocks; New steel exhaust as factory; (not stainless since this restorer was a stickler for “original factory” everything )

We here at Doc’s have taken the liberty of replacing the black-wall tires and silver painted wire wheels with the chrome and white wall change currently shown in our recent photo-shoot. Obviously we can easily revert back to the other look. Rebuilt transmission and rear end, all new wiring harness’, cooling, electrical, chrome, large tools, etc. Too much to mention here, Matching numbers everywhere. These MC roadsters, with their extra horsepower are becoming extremely scarce.

Priced conservatively @$135,000
